Sound Deadening and Insulation

Surface Preparation

Accessing and preparing metal behind finish surface panels that are not obstructed by fixed furniture, is an important step to getting products to stick well and hold tight for many years. This before and after photo shows a prepped back panel area on the passenger side.

Foam Insulation

This option is a sound deadening closed cell polyethylene foam & heat insulation material. It doesn’t absorb moisture, has no odor, and it’s flexible and is oil and waterproof. Making it ideal for “wet” doors and sliders. The adhesive layer ensures optimum efficiency and thermal insulation.

Sound Deadening Material

We use thin and light weight butyl mats that are self-adhesive, foil-backed sound deadening vibration dampers. They are designed for the automotive industry as an industrial sound damping material for applications that need extreme performance.

Wool Insulation

Natural fiber base wool insulation is made from sheep’s wool, which is a natural fiber. Unlike fiberglass and rockwool, which contain synthetic fibers and formaldehyde, wool insulation is free from these potentially harmful substances. Wool insulation has a high R-value per inch, meaning it provides excellent thermal insulation.

Other benefits: Long term Durability, Moisture Regulation, Sound Absorption, Improved Indoor Air Quality, Insect Resistance, Mold Resistance.
